Good Afternoon everybody,

What can I say, where do I start in describing these three incredible days which we have just shared together.

This forum was a dream, an important dream for our Movement, and thanks to all of you it has come true.

Led by your energy and enthusiasm, it turned out to be an inspirational and unforgettable event for all of us. Don’t you all agree?

From the very start, you addressed real challenges with honesty and integrity, and why not - this was your platform, this was your space.

We all listened, engaged and learnt from each other, and above all made many new friends.

I was touched by your eagerness to share your experiences, your knowledge, your fears and your staunch commitment to be part of the change that we all aspire for.

Your stories gave us hope, gave us courage, they opened windows of opportunities and offered solutions to genuine and real global challenges.

Through your eyes, we saw clearly what our world could be, if more young people, like you, were encouraged and empowered to lead the way.

Now, let me share with you how our Movement is planning to turn our collective goals into reality. If preparing for this forum seemed like an arduous task, it is nothing compared to all the work that lies ahead of us.

I have looked carefully into many of your concerns, proposals, and reflected on your visions, and I commit myself as the President of the Movement to propose the following:

Building on this momentum, I would like to invite you to be founding members of the first “Youth Network of our Movement”.

I say “founding members” because I am now counting on you to join our efforts, so that collectively we grow to become an influential peace global network.

facilitate the work of this network, a Youth Unit will be established in the Movement to keep us connected, and help us implement together the numerous ideas and initiatives that were generated throughout the Forum. This unit will facilitate the work of other young people in different communities, offering resources and maximizing their peace building capacities.

It will be driven by our new “Cyber Peace” Initiative, which as you all know we launched with global partners in an effort to bridge gaps .. build channels of communication and trust. The initiative encompasses six different tracks with activities ranging from e-peace contests to peace youth camps and the creation of a youth focus group for internet safety

Through the youth unit, we will attempt to address in depth from a youth perspective many of the subject matters which were highlighted in the themes we covered during our Forum. For example, we are already considering establishing a task force aimed at bringing the business community and youth together to find ways of enhancing work opportunities for young people.

We already have various partners willing to support this initiative…

Another idea, that is being formulated as we speak, is to develop a section in the International Press dedicated to getting your voices heard and to strengthen and support your work globally.

This is just a start. Please be sure that all your valuable recommendations and ideas will be documented and given the consideration it deserves. We want you to be fully involved in all strategies and initiatives that will emanate from this gathering.

As you can see, our possibilities are endless…you must always remember that together we can dream the greatest dreams and aspire for the highest goals – hand in hand we will succeed in building the brightest tomorrows.

A heart-felt thanks to all of you – for making this forum such an incredible success, especially you young participants– for all your spirit and energy.

Our volunteers, who have been active around the clock and always managed to give us a smile; and all our partners who are too many to enumerate.

Tomorrow, most of you will be traveling back to your homes, and I wish you a very safe trip. I hope that, as you reflect back on this experience in Sharm El Sheikh, you will find that it was as enriching and stimulating as it was to me. This is definitely not goodbye.

Insha Allah, we will all meet together again and continue to channel our spirit, our energy and our power in shaping our future.

So, now my friends I think its time to:
