Dr. Manoncourt has been the UNICEF Country Representative in the Arab Republic of Egypt, since January 2005. She served in the India Country Office as the Deputy Director, Programmes and served as Chief, Programme Communication/Social Mobilization in New York .
Prior to joining UNICEF, she was an Assistant Professor at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She has also worked more than ten years in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean in the areas of community-based development, nutrition and health programming..
She holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, with a specialization in Health Behaviour and Health Education.. She is a national of both France and the United States.
