He first joined the UN system in 1991 as a NGO Liaison Officer then Chief of Protocol in Vienna. Prior to that he has served in Carrier Diplomatic Service in various countries of the world. He has wide experience in promoting health lifestyle installing positive behavior and general awareness to fight drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, child labor and prostitution. He is a firm believer that reducing risk-taking among youth requires that they have the information and the capacity to make and act on decisions.
