Associate Professor of Management Information Systems in the Department of Management of the School of Business, Economics and Communications at the American University in Cairo. Dr. Kamel is a member of the Executive Council of the Information Resources Management Association and its Director of Communications. He is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Cases on Information Technology and the Journal of Information Technology Development. He is a founding member of the internet society of Egypt. In 2005 he was appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Information Technology Institute, Egypt.
